May is almost behind us and you know what that means – hello Summer! With hotter months ahead I’ve got two things on my mind – makeup refreshes and skincare prep to make sure my skin is ready for all those vacations that lay ahead! Luckily, I have a few new favorites that I’ve added into my rotation, so keep reading for my Summer essentials — everything from skin to lips to lashes!
With Winter comes dry, dull skin that needs a little extra love and I’ve been crushing on Nip + Fab’s Glycolic Fix Cleansing Pads to help my skin get back into shape. I love that this product has my two favorite miracle workers — glycolic acid, which helps to retexture and exfoliate and hyluronic acid, which helps to moisturize and refresh. I always follow up with their Dragon’s Blood Fix Serum for extra moisture. If you haven’t tried either of these products, I highly recommend testing them out.
Glycolic Fix Cleansing Pads and Dragon’s Blood Fix Serum also available at Space NK.
So now that your skin is buttery soft and luminous, it’s time to focus on those lips. I’m all about bright lipstick, so soft smooth lips are essential to my Summer look. I’ve always been a fan of lip exfoliation, but the one thing that always kills me is having to use your fingers to rub the product in. I don’t know about you, but it just kind of grosses me out. That’s why I was beyond thrilled to find Rodial’s Lip Scrub which has an applicator pen for a no mess scrub sesh. Hello silky soft lips!
Lip scrub also available at SpaceNK.
I’m pretty particular about my mascara — it can either make or break your total look — but when I was recently introduced to Rodial’s Glamlash Mascara Skinny I was immediately hooked. The soft bristles give your lashes a gorgeous flutter plus the the highly pigmented color means your lashes look fab all day long.

So there you have it! Let me know what your favorite Summer skincare products are in the comments below!
Until next time.
Special thanks to Rodial and Nip + Fab for sponsoring this post!
I’m always looking for seasonal staples that I can take from day to night, workday to playday, family party to date night (read: I can’t justify the splurge unless it’s something I can consistently wear). Enter this Mara Hoffman fringe skirt. It’s fresh colors, funky trim, and versatility had my mind racing just thinking of all of the occasions it would be perfect for!
I like to keep my style simple and refined, focusing on one eye-catching piece versus shocking the senses with high impact pieces. Check out my styling for the 3 quintessential Summer events below:
Summer Birthday Party
Mara Hoffman Skirt // Madewell Crop Top // J. Crew Abbot Sandals // Kendra Scott Harlow Necklace
Mara Hoffman Skirt // Hightop Silk Tank // Stuart Weitzman Nudist Sandal // Edie Parker Clutch
Mara Hoffman Skirt // Boden Evelyn Shirt // Birkenstock Yara Sandal // Miansai Screw Cuff
Until next time.
Summer is in full swing and I’ve been dreaming of a little decor refresh to the tune of Palm Beach chic. There’s something about walking into a room filled with bright, bold patterns; breezy dwarfed palm trees; and crisp white accents that makes the day infinitely brighter.
This season I’ll be infusing my home with hints of kitchy-cool Palm Beach style — just enough to bring out the bright feeling without overwhelming the senses. Checkout my picks to get the look:
Say yes to anything and everything pineapple.
Dot & Bo // Art.com // Pier 1
Palm trees are always a good idea.
Serena & Lily// One Kings Lane // Ethan Allen
When in doubt, throw a bamboo chair into this mix.
The Well Appointed House // One Kings Lane // Koi
These pieces immediately transport me to the days of Slim Aarons, where nothing seemed to matter as long as the sun was shining and the martinis flowing.
Until next time.

To me, Summer is all about simplicity — a really great heirloom tomato, the perfect pair of flip-flops, and a refreshingly crisp cocktail. Since it’s Friday, I thought I would make like the season and keep it simple with a few of my favorite images/inspirations from the week. Thankfully whether I’m daydreaming of a breezy backyard cabana, prepping for my next dinner party, or just looking to make life a little more beautiful, Pinterest has my back. So take a look and don’t forget to share your Summer inspirations below!

- A citrusy twist on the classic chex-mix
Just because you err on the side of simplicity doesn’t mean you that your summer uniform has to be boring! This look is all about staying true to the pieces you know and love, without letting it get stale — it’s all about the adding an unexpected twist to your everyday look. This season, I’d suggest pairing a classic grey tank and white jeans with a tasselled clutch and simple gold accessories — it’s an effortless Summer BBQ look!
While Summer style tends to be casual, that’s no reason to sacrifice your girlie side! The important thing to remember is that it’s all about balancing your look to avoid looking too done up. I’ve paired this funky cut-out crop top with a high-waisted black skirt to achieve that romantic feeling without getting too crazy. The next step is to add a pastel bag and some unexpected baubles, namely the leucite sharks tooth, to complete the look!
What better time to experiment with your style than now; after all this season is all about having fun, so your treat your look any differently? I’d suggest anchoring your look with a classic piece, like jeans shorts, and then layering on some unexpected pieces, like the dip-dyed chambray shirt and Chanel bow, for a funky-fresh look. What’s your go-to Summer style?

Holy vintage-y goodness! I know one pieces have been high on the swimwear totem pole recently, but I have to come clean about something, I literally despise them. One pieces of any size, shape, and color make me literally and figuratively ill. Who knows, maybe it’s because of my last experience — lets just say it included a pool in Hong Kong and a heinous Nike one piece — but either way they’ve been off-limits for this bathing beauty for years. That is until now. Today I was perusing Pinterest — my latest major obsession — and found this a-maz-ing floral suit. Its rich cream color, punchy pastel floral motif, and bustier shape is the perfect update to the classically horrifying one piece. Bravo Anthropologie, you’ve won this skeptic over.
